In order to help students understand the professional world, understand the industries, units and positions where graduates of this major mainly go, master the ways and methods of exploring the professional world, form a value identity of the professional world related to the major, and understand the social and personal significance of the related professions of the major, the School of Business has launched a series of career interview activities of Career Talk about the Future and Talk about Development.
On April 12, 2024, the Business School's Career Talk about the Future, Talk about Development Career Interview Activity - Human Resource Management, Engineering Management, Information Management and Information System Professional Session was successfully held in the 208 Lecture Hall of Lexue Building, Hohai University.
After careful planning and organization, the college is honored to invite Ms. Li Zhe, an alumnus of the Business School of Hohai University majoring in engineering management and the Southern New Town Development and Construction Group, Ms. Wei Qi, an alumnus of the Business School of Hohai University majoring in human resource management and the organization and management department of Zhoupu Data, and Mr. Sheng Zhiyong, an alumnus of the Business School of Hohai University majoring in information management and information systems and the financial product manager of NetEase Network Co., Ltd., to exchange and share with Ms. Yang Tian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college. The interview was hosted by Ms. Shi Yuying, the counselor of the 2023 undergraduate students, and participated by the 2023 undergraduate students of the School of Business.
At the beginning of the interview, Ms. Shi Yuying invited the guests to share their work around My Day in the Professional World.
As the person in charge of the construction management of the Southern New Town Complex Project, Ms. Li Zhe shared her day's workflow based on the theme of project management, showing the diversity and challenges of project management. Ms. Wei Qi talked about her experience and diversified daily work at Zhoupu Data, and introduced the process and importance of human resources work in detail. Mr. Sheng Zhiyong started from the operation process of financial products, and deeply discussed the relevant working environment, rhythm and required quality and ability, which fully demonstrated the professionalism and technology of information management.
Subsequently, Ms. Shi Yuying exchanged interviews with the alumni guests on issues related to the industry, units and positions, and invited the guests to give suggestions to the students based on their own work experience.
From the perspective of choosing an industry, Ms. Li Zhe suggested that students should consider their personal personality and lifestyle, and pay attention to learning and applying professional knowledge in the workplace.
Mr. Sheng Zhiyong hoped that students would choose units based on their personal professional skills and interests, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary learning and paying attention to industry development trends.
Ms. Wei Qi took her own human resources work as an example, and suggested that everyone should consider the nature of the job, content and personal career development when choosing a position, and try and explore more when you are young.
Mr. Yang Tian suggested that students can use the Holland Career Interest Test to understand their career interest type, so as to better choose their career and development direction.
In the free questioning session of students, the students actively asked questions and exchanged ideas with the guests on questions such as discussing the necessity of graduate study in engineering management from the perspective of employment advantages, how to deal with career planning anxiety, and whether competitions and projects have improved the competitiveness of technical positions, and the guests gave patient and meticulous answers.
On May 9, 2024, the second session of the special interview on career guidance of the School of Business Career Talks about the Future, Talking about Development - Financial Management, Accounting, and Marketing was successfully held in the 208 lecture hall of Houxue Building, Jiangning Campus.
Ms. Chen Lingling, a 2017 MPAcc graduate of our institute and now working in China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, Ms. Zhu Binrang, a 2013 graduate of financial management and now working in the Nanjing tax system, Mr. Zhang Kejia, a 2013 marketing graduate and key account manager of Full Truck Group, and Zhu Hongbing, a teacher of the Department of Finance of Hohai University Business School, were invited as interview guests. The activity consisted of two sessions: interview-style interactive communication and free questions from students, which was hosted by Ms. Fu Fangni.
At the beginning of the interview, Ms. Fu Fangni invited the guests to talk about their current career situation and special requirements, and share their job search experience. Starting from the profession of accountant, Ms. C hen Lingling introduced the work requirements of this compound position and the development direction of emerging smart accounting. Ms. Zhu Binrang focused on interviews and exams, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and progress in her career path; Mr. Zhang Kejia shared his professional experience and demonstrated his love for this profession with the introduction of a fulfilling business life. Teacher Zhu Hongbing told his career story from four parts: coursework, administrative work, scientific research and getting along with classmates.
Subsequently, Mr. Fu Fangni and the guests discussed career choice, industry development, and study. Chen Lingling encouraged students to seize the opportunity to practice and cultivate their sensitivity to job competition; Zhu Bin asked the senior sister to start from the perspective of mentality and action, and suggested that the students should calm down and exercise their ability to be good at learning, dealing with emergencies, and being good at leaving traces; Senior Zhang Kejia reflected his passion and love for his profession by telling about his rich work experience, from the choice of industry, position and the direction of being chosen; Based on his own study experience, Mr. Zhu Hongbing introduced the method of choosing a suitable job for himself, and encouraged students to insist on independent learning and output training when they have no goal.
In the free question session, the students actively spoke and communicated with the guests enthusiastically on topics such as competition between management training and social recruitment and college students' entrepreneurship activities, and the atmosphere was harmonious, and the students gained a lot from it.
This activity is full and vivid, with the participation of multiple subjects to achieve school-enterprise linkage, in the form of interviews and exchange meetings to convey workplace dry goods, to help students better explore the workplace world, form a value recognition of the professional world related to the major, and at the same time recognize the employment situation, understand the recruitment standards of enterprises, and rationally plan their careers.
