Guests from China -  ASEAN Clean Energy Capacity Building Programme - 2017 Exchange Project visited  Hohai University      

 

On October 13, Vice President Xu Weiya  met with guests from the China-ASEAN Clean Energy Capacity Building Programme -  2017 Exchange Project. The meeting was also attended by relevant personnel from  China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute and China Telecom Construction East  China Investigation and Design Institute as well as  International Office,  Business School and College of Energy and Electrical Engineering, Hohai  University.   


Vice President Xu Weiya extended a warm welcome to the guests  and briefly introduced Hohai University. He pointed out that  internationalization, having always been one of the important strategies for the  development of Hohai University, plays a very important role at the time when  Hohai University is striving to develop as a high-level research university and   working hard for “ Double First-Class" construction. He hoped that Hohai  University will further cooperation with ASEAN countries and achieve common,  sustainable and leap-forward development under the framework of the "One Belt  And One Road" Water Strategic Alliance launched by Hohai University. Later, the  ASEAN guests were shown around the Qingliangshan Campus of Hohai University and  then went to the Jiangning campus for a symposium in the Business School.    


To deliver the spirit of Premier Li Keqiang’s speech on promoting clean energy  cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, in 2016, China implemented China  - ASEAN Clean Energy Capacity Building Programme. On October 9-13, 2017, the  first “ Capacity Building Programme" was held in Hangzhou with over 60 officials  and experts from governments and Think Tanks of Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam,  Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Brunei, Philippines and China. As a joint project  organizer, Hohai university took an active participation in it. Business School,  College of Energy and Electric Engineering, etc. of Hohai University took part  in the training project design, part of the teaching and the organization of  “  ASEAN Clean Energy Leadership Exchange Seminar".
