Hohai University Launched “World Water Valley" and Water Ecological Civilization of Jiangsu Collaborative Innovation Center
Led by Hohai University, Jiangsu Collaborative Innovation Center ("World Water Valley "and the Water Ecological Civilization) held "World Water Valley "Collaborative Innovation and Forum Start-up Seminar" at A100 of Boxue Building, Jiangning campus on November 29. There were 16 collaborative unites attended this seminar, including: Xu Hui, President of Hohai University; Ren Xuhua, Director of Collaborative Innovation Office; Zhou Yong, Chairman of Jiangsu Hongye International Group; Xue Lequn, GM of China Jiangsu International Economic and Technical Cooperation Group，Ltd; Sun Jinhua, Vice President of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute and Director of MWR Dam Security Center; Feng Junlin, President of KUNMING ENGINEERING CORPORATION LIMITED; Wu Xianman, Assistant President of Jiangsu Provincial Academy Of Social Sciences, and the others.
Xu Hui, President of Hohai University and Construction Committee Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center, together with Zhang Yang, Director of Collaborative Innovation, issue the letter of appointment for Collaborative Innovation Platform, Collaborative Innovation Team and Chief Scientist.
President Xu Hui pointed out that "World Water Valley" and the Water Ecological Civilization Collaborative Innovation Center push the development of Hohai University arts disciplines, it aims at integration of the technology, entrepreneurship, finance, industry, culture, and many other high-end elements by the talent with water-related industry background. It still plays an important role in improving Collaborative Innovation driven by the elements highlighting the water-related industry and seizing the new commanding point of the water treatment around the world. Still, it lays a good foundation for establishing "World Water Valley" culture, dominating in the water-related industry, and building a state-level Think-tank. He still said Hohai University would fully support "World Water Valley" and Collaborative Innovation Center of the Water Ecological Civilization.
Professor Zhang Yang, reviewed the whole process of how “World Water Valley” came into actualization in the main report, and went into the details of development for collaborative innovation centering “World Water Valley” system and the purpose of starting up its forum. Representatives from the collaborative units expressed their strong supports for building the “World Water Valley”, offered their suggestions to that equation, and conducted the discussions of how to strengthen the collaboration system by their advantages and needs involved in building “World Water Valley”. The seminar was presided by Professor Li Qiongfang, Vice director of MBA center, and with four symposiums were established as required by the platform of the Collaborative Center. In each symposium, chief scientists and senior staff from ten innovation teams expressed their views on strengthening communications, integrating resources and establishing platform. They attached a great importance to the collaborative mechanism jointly established by universities, enterprises and scientific and research institutes, and agreed to launch the “World Water Valley” Forum and the brand of “World Water Valley” as soon as possible. Finally, Professor Huang Dechun, Executive director of MBA center, made a proposal in the summary that “The collaborative innovation center has been launched, and General Secretary Xi has just required to cultivate Think tanks for China Dream, let us take this opportunity to push “Water Valley Dream” and go for it!
